WATER SCANDAL OF ALEXANDRIA: How a City Trust was poisoned

WATER SCANDAL OF ALEXANDRIA

Baby Hospitalized. His woman sick 8 days. Officials Silent. Water Contaminated.

Here is a small town in the middle of Indiana where a very unusual betrayal of the community is taking place. The once small-town haven Alexandria has become the seat of one of the most hideous municipal scandals of the recent times.

An infant, E. coli poisoned. A female patient with over one week of hospital stay. Refusal of pets to drink tap water. Green, stinky water pumped out. And even worse of all you had a city leadership in the know and said nothing.

THE infected THEY TRIED TO cover up

This started in early July when a baby was taken to the emergency room where he was poisoned by E. coli, which was confirmed. Sampling of the drinking water in the family revealed that there was a dangerously low level of chlorine in the water- 0.029 mg/L as opposed to the minimum of 0.2 mg/L which is approved by the federal government because of the necessity to kill pathogens such as E. coli.

Soon after another inhabitant of Alexandria was ill. She passed blood urine in a period of one week and was admitted to the hospital due to the same infection. It is severe to the extent that her son was required to travel to Kentucky to take care of her. Another 3rd case was not far away.

Such were not casualties. They were fore-warnings.

AUTHORITIES LIBELED, HID AND REMAINED QUIET

However, despite that the outbreak, Mayor Todd Naselroad made it public to the residents that the water was safe. He instructed people to drink as much as possible, children get ill, and the water turns out to be unsafe by the law.

Although HML Labs and in-home chlorine tests indicated broad failures only hours after they were completed, the city did not have any boil notice, did not advise its population, nor did it travel to health departments.

WALL OF SILENCE

The footages of meetings and emails that were recorded now confirm an organized silencing of the truth:

Water department superintendent Mark Caldwell denied having requested log on chlorine. Evidence is to the contrary.

Clerk-Treasurer Darcy VanErman has been accused of not being forthcoming with financial records, and presiding over what critics now label a financial disaster within City Hall.

The 0 public statements of the council members, such as Jeremy VanErman, Roger Cuneo, Amy McCurry, John Burdsall, Wendi Goens, and Dave Luck, and Donna Key-Kerr, despite the full awareness of what is at hand a health crisis.

What best describes it is stated by the Concerned Citizens of Alexandria:

Here are the names. These are those on whom warnings were issued, evidence was adduced and opportunity granted of giving evidence.

It occurred to them not to do anything.

Their compliance is their silence.

This is now on record with their names.”

TODD NASELROAD: THIS IS NOT INCOMPETENCE. It is a cover up, THIS IS.”

Once the story made its way to the local news outlets, Todd Naselroad wasted no time being direct:

This is not an inaction. It is planned deceit- and children are the casualties.”

His fellow, Darcy VanErman was sharing the feeling of the people:

Authorities stared at citizens in the eyes and told them to consume polluted water. That is inexcusable.”

WHISTLEBLOWER BEING RETALIATED AGAINST

When the officials remained quiet, Peters founder of SCROOGE LLC did what they would not, that is bring out the truth.

Peters was targeted after filing test results of contaminated homes based on test results made after filing public records requests. His payment processor, Checkout.com, was used by his company: They canceled his account and put a 25 percent rolling reserve on his income, which he claims was a form of retaliation against him speaking out.

Peters has proceeded to make a legal demand of ten million citing:

  • Retaliation, against a federally-protected whistleblower
  • Stonebreaking ECONOMICAL sabotage
  • Breach of contract

Which started as a public health catastrophe, at present has turned into a war on truth-tellers.

NO BOIL NOTICE. NO APOLOGY. NO ACCOUNTABILITY.

Up-to-date:

  • No boil water advisory has been given.
  • There have been no public health alerts that have been issued.
  • The affected families have not been offered any apology.
  • There has been no resignation.

Three known cases of E. coli. Repeated violation of chlorine. An account of chronological carelessness. And nevertheless– silence.

Citizens of Alexandria were not only failed, they were betrayed.

THE PEOPLE WANT SOMEONE TO DO SOMETHING —AND THEY ARE NOT GOING TO BE IGNORED

What the Concerned Citizens of Alexandria are demanding is:

  • Instant resignation of the Mayor Todd Naselroad, Mark Caldwell and Jeremy VanErman as well as Clint of IDEM
  • A statewide probe on the water practices of Alexandria
  • Action of Governor Braun
  • Disclosure of all records of the chlorine and contamination to the public

They do not ask. They are demanding.

A POISONED COMMUNITY–an EXPOSED GOVERNMENT

And it is not anymore a dirty water problem as the Alexandria water crisis. It has to do with filthy politics, power-mongering and corruption.

An infant was poisoned. One woman was prostrate. Citizens were deceived.

The people of Alexandria however are no more to wait. They are organizing, demanding, fighting – and they will not stop until there is truth, safety and justice.

Since one can clean water. However, distrust — once tainted– needs much longer time to cleanse.
