If you already have a new SIM but don&#8217;t need it yet, you can wait until the expiry date printed on the packaging.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For older SIMs, the 2023 deadline has passed and unregistered ones were automatically deactivated. Giving false information, using a fake ID, spoofing a registered SIM, or selling a stolen SIM can mean 6 months to 2 years in prison or a fine of up to \u20b1300,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Common TM SIM registration problems and fixes<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>No OTP.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Check that your SIM has signal, then tap &#8220;Resend OTP&#8221; on the portal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>&#8220;Details don&#8217;t match your ID.&#8221;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Re-enter your name and birthday exactly as printed on the ID, and retake the photo in better light.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Says the number is already registered.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Contact Globe through its official Facebook Messenger page or visit a Globe store.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Registered, but the SIM still doesn&#8217;t work.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Use the same channels: Messenger or the nearest Globe store.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Lost your phone.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Tell Globe right away. Only use Globe&#8217;s official portal or the GlobeOne app. Never pay anyone to register your SIM, never share your OTP with anyone, and don&#8217;t tap registration links from random texts or social media posts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your data is also protected by law.
